Fast answer: On the Canon Rebel SL3 (250D), enable Silent shooting / Silent shutter from the Shooting menus, then test in Live View for the biggest noise reduction. If you see banding under LEDs, switch silent off or change shutter speed.

Do this (5 steps)

  1. Set a normal photo mode (P/Av/Tv/M).
  2. Press MENU.
  3. Open the Shooting (red camera) tab and look for Silent shooting, Silent shutter, or Shutter mode.
  4. Set it to Enable (or Electronic if that is the wording).
  5. Turn on Live View and take a test shot to confirm the noise reduction.

Troubleshooting

Silent option is greyed out

  • Remove any flash/trigger from the hot shoe.
  • Use a normal mode (avoid Bulb/special modes while testing).
  • Enable Live View and check again.

Banding under LED lights

  • Common with electronic shutters. Disable silent or adjust shutter speed.
